St. Edmund's College Staff Mutual Benefit Fund Cooperative Society

St. Edmund's College Staff Mutual Benefit Fund Cooperative Society was established in the year 1984 with a few members. The Society was subsequently registered in 1986 with Registration Number SHILL/2/1986.

Objectives of the Society:

1. To encourage thrift, self-help and cooperation among the members.
2. To encourage members to save by receiving monthly contributions from them by deduction from their pay.
3. To create funds, to make advances to the members of the Society.
4. To invest money in some profitable concern for the benefit of the members.
5. To secure suitable benefits for the members and their families in distress.
6. To do all such other acts as are conducive or incidental to the attainment of the above objectives.

The Society was working under the provision of By-Laws, which can be amended time to time in the Annual General Body Meetings held every year.

Members:

There are three different types of members, namely:

1. Executive Members
2. Board Members
3. General Members

Executive Members consist of:

• President
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Few Board Members

All other members are General Members. Presently, the Society has 97 members. The following members are elected as Executive Members in the 23rd Annual General Body Meeting held on 4th July, 2009.
